Quantitative Researcher
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with a scientific programming language ( e.g. Python / MATLAB / R or similar)
- Knowledge of data analysis, statistics, and optimization.
- Genuine interest in financial markets
- Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
At Baroque Capital, Quantitative Researchers support our trading desks by driving innovation to improve our strategies, technology, and tools. You’ll work side-by-side with traders to find alpha in today’s competitive markets. You’ll be tasked with understanding and improving critical components of our trading strategy as well as developing novel approaches to tackle the market. You’ll see the impact of your ideas as the tools and algorithms you develop are immediately leveraged on our proprietary trading desks.
Software Engineer
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Degree in Computer Science or engineering or scientific field
- Experience with distributed systems, networking, data structures & algorithms, and operating systems
- Experience programming in C++
- Proficiency with UNIX shell scripting and SQL
- Ability to communicate with the trading team and find solutions to implement them in concise way
- Ability to work under pressure, in a dynamic trading environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Software Engineers at Baroque Capital have the opportunity to use cutting-edge technology while working on high performance/low latency systems. We offer a team-based approach to trading and software engineering, believing that productive integration of the two groups is vital for success in this industry. Your initial responsibilities will include the development and improvement of our critical trading applications that add significant value to Baroque Capital.
Trader
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Strong math aptitude, numerical and quantitative analysis skills
- Experience with a scientific programming language ( e.g. Python / MATLAB / R or similar)
- Capability to quickly recover from mistakes.
- Knowledge of financial markets and economic theories
- Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
At Baroque Capital, Traders are responsible for operating our proprietary trading system and being fully responsible for day-to-day PnL and risk. You’re directly facing the market every day, and seeing the immediate impact of your decisions. After completing our rigorous training program, including several weeks of live trading, you’ll join an existing team to continue learning how to successfully manage our trading strategies.
